Do we really need to make such a big deal....my 13 year old son can see more on regular tv channels. Like the old saying goes...Don't like it...Don't look! Too much is being made of this...our City Symbol should be offensive then! - correction to my last rmark...our STATE emblem set in 1930 should be offensive if the add for a clothing store is considered offensive! Sherry, VA Beach

-Virginia Beach in the national news again? People around here "crack" me up. Pun intended. I'm off to the mall to shake the Abercrombie and Fitch manager's hand and buy some clothes with my tax rebate. Tim, VA Beach

-Why all this hoopla about the obscene ad for Abercrombie & Fitch - I make sure I always walk WAY around the Victoria's Secret stores when I'm with my children - talk about obscene!!!! Kathy, Kill Devil Hills NC

-Did you know that VA Beach police walked into Lynnhaven Mall and confiscated the store front marketing at Abercrombie & Fitch? They also demanded that 2 other photos be taken down.

Britney Quits Psych Ward After Judge Bans Her From Kids

THE mother of troubled Britney Spears yesterday begged the singer's fans to pray for her.

Lynne Spears' plea to "just say prayers" came as a judge banned the fallen star from seeing her children.

The Los Angeles judge suspended her right of access to one-year-old Jayden James and Sean Preston, two.

The decision came just hours before pals claimed Britney had left a hospital where she had been taken after a breakdown.

Sources said the star had demanded to leave a psychiatric ward at Cedars-Sinai hospital against medical advice and was back at her home in Beverly Hills.

Doctors said they no longer believed she was a danger and had no power to hold her.

The custody blow follows a three-hour police siege at Britney's home on Thursday, when she refused to hand back her sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline after a visit.

Undefeated season up in smoke, but Tigers must keep eyes on big ...

They beat Florida last year, Kentucky in 1993 and North Carolina in 1987 when each of those teams was No. 1.

Senior guard Chris Lofton isn't worried about the Vols being overwhelmed by a No. 1 ranking. He's more concerned about beating the Commodores and preserving Tennessee's two-game lead in the Southeastern Conference standings.

"I think we'll handle it fine. We've got to remember that on Tuesday night we play a very good team that's gonna be ready to play," Lofton said. "They don't lose a lot at home, and they're gonna be ready for us."

While Vols coach Bruce Pearl whipped his team's fans into a frenzy at a pregame pep rally on Saturday -- "We're 40 minutes from No. 1," he told them -- his players expect him to downplay the ranking.

"Coach is gonna preach every day to us that it don't mean nothing," said sophomore forward Tyler Smith, whose turnaround jumper over Robert Dozier with 26.5 seconds left proved to be the game-winner.

Why Salmond laughed all the way to the Budget

If you want your heart's desire, if you want me out, take it to the electorate.

How best to put this? Here's how: confronted with that choice, Labour ran away. It did not have the stomach, the confidence, the organisation or (a lovely irony) the cash to take on the Nationalists. In that, not in £950 cheques or strange abstentions, lies the lasting damage to Ms Alexander.

How do you tell voters that Mr Salmond is doing untold damage to Scotland yet refuse the invitation to attempt to remove him? Even if Labour and the Liberals had failed to muster all the votes required to defeat the Budget, cause the First Minister to resign and force an election, it might, surely, have seized a half-chance. Not a bit of it. The last thing it wanted was another trip to the polls.

Tributes paid to taxi blast victims

Friends have paid tribute to two women who died in an explosion which wrecked the taxi office where they worked.

The women, named locally as Sue Barker and Ann Ryan, were killed in the blast in the small building in Immingham, North East Lincolnshire.

Mrs Barker's husband Tony was seriously injured in the blast, which left the business he ran on a garage forecourt, Fred's Taxis, just a blackened shell.

Firefighters investigating the explosion and fire at the premises on Pelham Road said they believe the incident was a "terrible accident".

Some local people said they believe Mr Barker, who has run the business for many years, may have entered the small office with a petrol can which for some reason exploded.

Mr and Mrs Barker's semi-detached house, which is about a mile from the scene of the blaze, was empty.
